until this is fixed, if somebody could add me as a cc: to Ticket #10320 and Ticket #10832, i would appreciate it.

Don't know if the issue reported here is still current, but in any case this functionality would be easily made available through resolution of ticket #12595, which deals with trac accounts privileges management.

The ability to modify the CC field is tied to the ability to change everything in "Change Properties" box, except for Description and Reporter. So this is a permission change that needs to go through MP management.

Replying to wsiegrist@apple.com:

Can you please clarify which ticket fields belong in the "Change Properties" box? This will help me decide whether to allow anyone to modify Cc or not. Thanks!

If you view a ticket (while logged in so you have the permissions), there should be the words "Change Properties", and there should be a thin gray box around most of the fields. I suppose depending on screen/browser it might not be so obvious. It should be everything from Summary down to Keywords and Cc.

To the original poster, Bill (our admin at Mac OS Forge) and I are looking into alternatives to allow non project members to add themselves to the Cc field, since opening up practically all of the ticket just for this one thing is definitely not something we want to do. One such alternative is the Simple Ticket plugin, but we're not too sure it'll meet our needs. We'll post back when we have more information.

I'm assigning back to me. I'll have to make a plugin for this, but it doesnt look trivial, so I dont have an ETA for it.

There is now a "Cc Me" button before the ticket summary/description box. If you are logged in, you should be able to click that button to toggle yourself on and off the Cc list for the ticket.
